The Call for INCLUSION and BELONGING
Current research shows that the most effective businesses and corporations are those that are intentionally inclusive. Intentional inclusivity goes beyond diversity (the numbers) and even the general understanding of what inclusivity looks like within an organization. Inclusion means that all voices are heard, valued, have agency, and an active role in the decision-making process. Inclusion means executive and senior leadership reflects racial, cultural, gender diversity and more. Within efforts to be inclusive, there must be fairness and impartiality. When businesses are inclusive, it allows for a richness of thought as well as decreases mistrust and misunderstanding among groups. These conversations are powerful and encourage objective decision-making by an organization's leaders and agency for those who may feel as though they do not have a voice.
We understand the intricate framework of inequity and the damage it creates, often feeling lost as to the next steps in achieving equity and inclusion. The consequences of personal and collective disparities in communal spaces reverberate throughout our systems and institutions, from corporations to religious spaces to the educational system to healthcare and more. These inequities are manifested daily whether in pay equity, underfunded public schools, or criminal justice.
The Marks-Osborne Group helps executives and organizations go beyond diversity and inclusion, leveraging our model, which drives the creation of a sustainable and equitable environment and maximum productivity
